Post-It Note Positional Drills

Target: Cardboard backer with 3” post-it notes

Distance: 100 yards

Round count: 3-5 rounds per post-it (21-35 Rounds total)

Purpose: Once you conclude the below course of fire (COF) you will measure the distance between the center of the post-it notes and the center of each group. From this you will learn your natural point of impact shift from field positions. Measure your group sizes too. This will teach you what position you need in order to hit targets of different sizes and distance. If you hold a 5-inch pattern sitting, you know with good hold and proper wind call you can hit a 350 yard 18” IPSC with that position. Don’t forget to record your information and to implement your natural point of impact shift when using different positions. Put all this into your DOPE book!
